Yeah we had daylight savings 2 weeks ago, I think...

On Saturday we were planning on teaching someone at his house with this one member at 4 o’clock but our investigator couldn’t get home until 6. We just went over at 6, but the member couldn’t come then because he was assigned to clean the church. So we all decided to go to the church which took a while to get there.  When we got there it was still going to take a while for the member to finish cleaning.  Another member was there helping clean also, so there were 2 members there.  Anyways we needed them to hurry up because we had another lesson at the church at 7:30 and it was already 7 now!  When the members finally finished, it was 7:30 and our other investigator came in through the doors!  The one we were planning on teaching first was, you could say, way more advanced and knew more about the gospel then the other investigator. So we had an idea to have two lessons go on at the same time, one missionary with one member teaching one investigator. You can do that so it’s good.  We asked the other member who was helping clean also if he could help teach with us but he couldn’t stay any longer, so now we had 2 investigators, one member, and 2 missionaries.  We couldn’t divide up now so we just did one big lesson all together!  We watched the Restoration DVD. It’s only 20 minutes long and then we talked about it after. It was a good lesson for the one who didn’t know a whole lot about the church yet, and it was a good review for the other who's been having lessons for a while. So it ended up good after all.  Also, A… should get baptized this month!

So it’s freeezing cold here now. It hasn’t snowed yet, but it always rains and it’s always windy. I remember when it was roasting hot when I got here.  I’ve been to Germany twice actually. It's nice... pretty much the same as everywhere else I’ve been.

A few days ago our ward had a Halloween trunk-or-treat party because almost all of the Relief Society is made up of Americans. So that was cool, I got a lot of candy!

Also..... I'm staying in Luxembourg for another transfer, with the same companion. But we're moving apartments in 2 or 3 weeks, so I'll give you the address of the new place later.

The best foods I've eaten are Polynesian food from some members who are from Tahiti, and food from members who are from South America. Also, there’s this French meal called a Raclette. It’s just baked potatoes, and all kind of meat (beef, chicken, pig) just mixed up together with some melted cheese on it. And the dessert places they have everywhere are good too, but expensive. The grossest thing was this drink that’s from Germany. It tasted like uncarbonated root beer but with no taste. It was gross, I can’t explain it.

Its not super cold here yet, but it will be in a few weeks. It’s only really cold in the mornings so far. I bought a big coat and a sweater, and some T-shirts so you'll see a big drop of money in my bank account!

All of the trees here are orange, red, and yellow. Mom and grandma would really like it!  Yeah I've heard about that bridge in Paris with the locks. It’s for couples. They write their name on the lock, lock it up on the bridge, and throw the key in the nasty river. It’s just some French tradition. I haven’t seen it yet, but maybe one day I will.

Don’t worry about what i cook! I have fruits, veggies, grains, meats, and am totally healthy!

At church I don’t really do anything, because someone is called to teach the Gospel Principles class that we go to. But yesterday was a surprise and me and someone else had to teach the lesson so we had to wing it! But so many less-actives came to church yesterday, which was really good, and they just talked the whole time and lots of crazy and funny stuff happened.

With our apartment, we're going to move in to a member's apartment that they're going to move out of in 2 weeks. So maybe in 2 weeks we'll move. But I might not even be here in 2 weeks, the transfer is next week.....

And with the people we teach, this man we teach who is from Brussels loves the church and is planning on getting baptized. But he hasn’t come to church yet because he goes back to Brussels every week-end to be with family. That’s actually pretty normal for a lot of people here. So we gave him the address of the church in Brussels and hopefully he went to church yesterday... He had a baptism date planned for this next Sunday but because he's never been to church, it’s not going to happen. And we found out with that lady from Venezuela... she was just trying to use the church to help her fix all of her problems that she has going on right now. We can’t do that so we don’t see her anymore. Oh well.

Glad to hear that you're doing better mom! Just have Ziggy lick your hand and it'll get better!

Thanks for the updates about BYU and the Jazz. And also, the hoop that you sent to me... one of the missionaries chucked the basketball really hard and it hit the hoop and broke it in to pieces.... so the fun of the hoop was short lived…

A sister in the ward took Coop and his companion to  a birthday dinner

On my birthday one of the members took us to this super fancy Asian restaurant. It was really cool. And I got the hoop, thanks. I had to go to the  post office because for some reason they don’t deliver it to the apartment, they just give you a paper that says you have a package at the post office. So that’s fun. At Zone Conference the sister missionaries from Luxembourg made a good cake and that was good.

One of our investigators from England is progressing really well and he's really cool.

We watched Conference just at the church. We watched Saturday Morning session at 6pm Saturday night. Then we watched Priesthood Session at 11am on Sunday. Then the Saturday Afternoon session at 2pm, then the Sunday morning session at 6pm. We have to watch the Sunday Afternoon one on our own time later this week. We had someone we're teaching come to the 11am Priesthood session but that was it. But conference was good. It was fun.

Hello!

We really didn’t have any time on Monday to do email so we're doing it really quick this morning, on Tuesday. Thanks for all of the birthday emails, and I got the basketball hoop, thank you!

So A… couldn’t get baptized because he's a refugee and there are a lot of complicated things with that so we have to wait until he's 18  which is in November. That’s the simple explanation. Yeah, he's really bummed about that. And hopefully the lady from Venezuela, her name is P…, will get baptized on the next Saturday. That’s when we have it planned. Hopefully all of that will work out.

Tomorrow we have a big Zone Conference in Paris. I'm sure you'll see a bunch of pics on facebook about it.

I don’t know how General Conference is going to work yet. I'll find out on Saturday! And yesterday we went to this really cool thing in the city. It's like these historic cave sites. They're cool. I'll send pics next week because I don’t have time right now. Get better mom!
